The NFL is finally doing what they have certainly long desired, and that is taking over Christmas from the NBA. This year the NFL is providing us with a full Saturday, Sunday, and Monday worth of games.

Looking at the Sunday games.
The surprising Indianapolis Colts head to Atlanta to take on the Falcons who are somehow still in the NFC South race. The Colts are 5-1 in their last six games behind a defense that is getting after the quarterback and getting the ball on the ground. They have forced 13 turnovers in that 5-1 stretch. The Falcons are going back to Taylor Heinicke to try to find something on offense. Not sure how the Falcons are -2.5 point favorites…

The Seattle Seahawks are going to Tennessee, in what could be a battle of backup Quarterbacks. Levis looks to have avoided major injury, but still not sure if he is playing this week. The Seahawks have lost 4 straight on the road but got a big one last week with Drew Lock. Geno still looks to be out this week. The upset sounds intriguing, so let’s go Titans ( 2.5).
The Detroit Lions (-3) can clinch the NFC North with a win against the Minnesota Vikings. Nick Mullens is leading the Vikings this week after a very up-and-down game last week. If Detroit doesn’t turn it over, they are 8-1 with one or fewer turnovers this year, they should win easily.
The Cleveland Browns go to Houston in a surprising battle of playoff contenders. The Browns have played amazing defense this year, but they are relying on the “Elite” Joe Flacco while the Texans rode a red-hot CJ Stroud to start the year, but have had to turn to Case Keenum after Stroud got injured. Stroud may give it a go, and if he does, the Texans (-2.5) get their mojo back.

Lastly, the best game of the day features the wounded Dallas Cowboys going to South Beach to take on the Miami Dolphins. The Cowboys got bullied last week in Buffalo, and this week they go take on the NFL’s best offense. Tyreke Hill looks to be back for the Dolphins (-1.5). This game will go a long way in determining seeding for the playoffs. Tua may just be too much for the Cowboys who are in danger of letting a home playoff game slip away.
