Tuesday, October 24:

Lakers vs Nuggets
Odds Nuggets -5O/U 228

The Lakers will be facing the team that ended their title hopes last season. Although you may be tempted to bet on the Lakers due to the revenge angle, Lebron James-led Laker teams tend to focus more on their long-term goals than winning early in the season.

Los Angeles has lost its last five straight opening night games outright, with each of those losses coming by seven points or more. On the other side, defending World Champs, like the Nuggets, have won nine of their last 11 season openers, with eight of those wins coming by eight points or more.

Including the playoffs, Denver was 27-20-1 against the spread as the home favorite last season. As a road dog, the Lakers were 18-21-1.

Suns vs Warriors
Odds Pick ’em O/U 232.5

Kevin Durant returns to Golden State, but Devin Booker and newly acquired Bradley Beal are both listed as game-time decisions. Durant has only played eight regular season games and 11 playoff games as a member of the Suns. Although the sample size is limited, Phoenix was a perfect 8-0 straight up with Durant during the regular season. The Warriors added Chris Paul in the offseason and sent Jordan Poole to Washington. Last season, the Warriors were an NBA Best 30-16-1 against the spread at home, and the Suns were 21-24-1 on the road.

Wednesday, October 25:

Celtics vs Knicks
Odds: Celtics -3 O/U 223.5

The Knicks were 3-1 straight up and against the spread in this head-to-head series last season, with the Celtics being favored in each of those games. The Celtics were 20-22 ATS as road favorites the previous season, and the Knicks were 6-5-1 in the rare situation as a home dog.
Boston is tied with Milwaukee for an NBA-best 54.5 projected win total, while DraftKings has the total for the Knicks sitting at 44.5.
